Steven T. Baker, CPP founded VTI & Associates to meet the diverse security, investigative, and training needs of corporate and government clients. Mr. Baker is a recognized expert in physical security and premises liability with more than 15 years of security management and consulting experience.
Mr. Baker has worked with the security and investigation departments of several Fortune 100 companies and served several years as a municipal investigator before establishing VTI. He has conducted vulnerability assessments and surveys in a variety of disciplines including public water utilities, global fiber optic networks, data centers, apartment buildings, medical centers, shopping centers, hotels, and restaurants.
Mr. Baker has consulted and provided services on corporate security operations, policy development, guard force management, workplace violence, and the design, installation, integration and evaluation of security systems.

Aside from his consulting and investigative duties Mr. Baker teaches the Multi-State CCW and Nevada Security Firearms Safety Courses.
Mr. Baker is Board Certified in Security Management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), is licensed as a Private Investigator and Private Patrolman in Nevada, California, and Arizona and holds a Masters Degree in Security Administration from the University of Detroit. Mr. Baker is currently engaged in postgraduate research in the areas of premises liability and use-of-force by non-sworn protection officers.
