Steven T. Baker, CPP, PSP, PCI, founded VTI Associates to meet the diverse security, investigative, and training needs of corporate and government clients.
Steve has 18 years experience providing security, training, and investigative services. He has conducted vulnerability assessments and consulting projects in a variety of disciplines including; water utilities, fiber optic networks, data centers, apartment buildings, medical centers, public facilities, shopping centers, hotels, and restaurants.
Steve has consulted and provided services on corporate security operations, policy development, guard force management, workplace violence, and the design, installation, integration and evaluation of security systems.
Steve has earned three board certifications, first in Security Management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), second, in physical security as a Physical Security Professional (PSP), and a third in investigations as a Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), all by ASIS International. Additionally he has earned certification as a Certified Protection Officer (CPO) and a Certified Protection Officer Instructor (CPOI) by the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO).

Steve holds licenses as a private investigator in both Nevada and California and as a Private Patrolman in Nevada. Steve has a Masters Degree in Security Administration from the University of Detroit and is currently preparing to enter a PhD program at UNLV.
Aside from his professional services, Steve regularly conducts training courses in the areas of security firearms, concealed carry, chemical sprays, impact weapons, executive protection, and general security education. He holds NRA instructor certifications in Law Enforcement Handgun and Shotgun, Personal Protection, and Basic Pistol. He is a State Certified instructor for teaching Concealed Firearms Courses by the states of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Florida and is a certified instructor for Security Officer Firearms training by the states of Nevada, California, and Arizona.
Steve is the Chairman for the Las Vegas Chapter of ASIS International and a member of the ASIS Lodging Security Council. He is active in the Las Vegas Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Nevada Society for Professional Investigators (NVSPI), International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), and International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI).
