Concealed Carry (CCW) Courses in Nevada

The Nevada CCW Course consists of a full day of classroom and range instruction for individuals desiring to legally carry a concealed firearm. Upon successful completion of the course, students will have met the training requirements for the State of Nevada.   

Students are expected to be familiar with the basic operation of their firearm including performing manipulation skills such as loading, unloading, and rendering the firearm safe and the ability to demonstrate basic marksmanship skills.

CCW Course Outline

Safety is the most important issue concerning firearms and you will learn and apply safety procedures for handling firearms during the course.  Course fee includes all range fees, targets, and hand-outs.  Students are required to bring their own ammunition and firearm.   We will discuss:

Multi-State Permit Add-ons

Benefit of Multiple Permits

By possessing CCW permits from multiple states, you can maximize the number of states where you can legally carry. By utilizing reciprocal agreements between states you can carry concealed in over 33 states.  We discuss permit recognition and reciprocity and identify tools to verify validity of a permit in a given state.  Additional discussions include carry considerations and restrictions when permits are utilized professionally.

Utah and Florida CCW Class

This course provides the necessary training required to apply for the UTAH and/or FLORIDA CCW permits.  Many individuals have recognized the benefit of possessing permits from multiple states in order to maximize the number of jurisdictions where they can lawfully carry a handgun concealed.

This course is approximately five hours and covers Utah CCW law and procedures (Module 1) and Florida CCW law and procedures (Module 2).


Students are encouraged to use equipment that is most suited to their individual circumstances and/or occupation.

You will need, at a minimum, the following:

  • Semi Automatic Pistol or Revolver
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Holster (no cross-draw or thigh holsters)
  • 50 rounds of ammunition for your firearm
  • Concealing garment (jacket or button up shirt)
  • 10-year residential history

Defensive Pistol Level 1

This course provides armed professionals and CCW permit holders exposure to tactics and skills   necessary for safe firearm handling. Students are introduced to drills and tactics designed to develop and improve firearm-handling skills. Tactics will include firearm manipulation, drawing from the holster, shooting positions, administrative and emergency reloading, malfunction clearance drills, and defensive responses. The course culminates with several live fire scenario 

Defensive Pistol Level 2

Defensive Pistol 2 is a continuation of Level One.   We expose students to tactical reloads, advanced malfunction clearances, barricade usage, engaging multiple targets, failure drills, shoot/no-shoot and alternate uses of force scenarios, one-handed shooting, and one-handed malfunction clearance.

Defensive Pistol Level 3

This course is continues building the skills from Defensive Pistol 1 & 2.  We expose students to movement, support side gun handling, bilateral shooting, and assessment drills utilizing multiple targets.

Defensive Pistol Level 4

This Course introduces students to low light operations and the use of flashlights in tactical settings.  We will expose students to different types of flashlights and multiple techniques for utilizing the flashlight. Students will practice the skills both “dry” and in “live-fire” scenarios and drills.  The course utilize a variety of settings including buildings and live fire on the range.
